Change

Change is upon us as we approach deeper into Autumn. For some this means dark colder mornings & darker evenings, strong winds, damp & grey days. But for others, they see the golden leaves settle beneath the warm auburn skies. Acorns & conkers scatter the ground,  where wildlife is immeasurable as they prepare for Winter, they prepare for change.

Change, I’m sure that word wakens your nerves & triggers times of uncertainty, confusion & for some of you, like it has for myself, a time of intense anxiety.

Change is inevitable – so why do we fear it? That’s easy, we allow ourselves to. Change is not a quick snapshot of life, its a process, & not a linear process either.

The only thing we are up against in life is our own thought & emotional processes. Of course there are external energies, but how we approach them & allow them to affect us is under our control. It’s how you think about change that will ultimately influence your feelings & guide your actions.

Tackle what it is you are afraid of or whats creating stress. Take a deep breath, allow the anxieties to rise, allow them to cause discomfort. Ease your breathing, channelling into each anxiety. Think of each anxiety as a superpower, close your eyes & imagine their energies to strengthen your inner being. When doubt creeps in again, challenge those thoughts & be rational – list the positives. Those positives are where you now centre your focus.

The problem is not the negativity associated with the change, there is nothing negative about change, change means growth & adaptation. Use what frightens you to grow you.

Control the change, don’t let the change control you.
